What Zelenskyy talked about with Rutte

The President of Ukraine stated that Ukraine is already part of NATO, because the Ukrainian military is holding the front line with weapons from all over the world.

"Our soldiers are holding the front line with weapons from all over the world, from America, Turkey, Canada. And it would be wrong to leave Ukraine outside the Alliance, when in practice Ukraine is already part of NATO," Zelenskyy said.

He added that Ukraine relies on the readiness of NATO member states to provide the already announced financial assistance packages to Ukraine worth over 40 billion euros at the next NATO summit in The Hague.

The Head of State also noted that the most important weapon that Ukraine has is its people. He added that he is confident not only in Ukrainians, but also in our unity.

Previously, the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented Ukraine's Victory Plan at a special meeting of the European Council in Brussels. The event was held at the level of country leaders. The Head of State noted that one of the main arguments to stop the war should be Ukraine's invitation to NATO.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that NATO had considered and taken into account the Victory Plan developed by Ukraine, but many details of this initiative still need to be discussed. He also emphasized that Ukraine's path to membership in the Alliance is irreversible, but when this will happen is currently unknown.
