Zelenskyy claimed that Orbán has nothing to put pressure on Putin
Volodymyr Zelenskyy hopes that after the inauguration of the newly elected US President Donald Trump, cooperation between the countries will become closer. Ukraine is looking for strong allies.
The Head of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities on Tuesday, December 17.
Zelenskyy criticized Orbán's actions
The President emphasized that Ukraine needs a strong alliance. This is, for example, the United States of America.
"We do not need those countries that want today, like Hungary, for example, (I'm not talking about people, people support Ukrainians), like Prime Minister Orbán... It won't work. I will not let him in, and people like him. We need direct relations with the US, we are a strong country, we have shown this — both on the battlefield and during all of Putin's aggression," Zelenskyy noted.
He also emphasized that no one in Europe has such experience as Ukraine. The President noted that he does not know how Orbán intends to influence the Russian dictator.
"Does Orbán have such an army? No. How will he put pressure on Putin? A joke, a smile? Let him keep it to himself," Zelenskyy noted.
It should be recalled that the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán not to manipulate with "peacemaking" and not to arrange unilateral contacts with Putin on Ukrainian issues.
The new White House administration wants to consider the "peace offers" of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The head of the Hungarian government has good contacts with both the Russians and the newly elected US President Donald Trump.
