The President's Office explained what Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory Plan envisages and what steps will help to force Russia to stop its aggression. In particular, it is about the provision of more long-range missiles and their ability to strike deep into the territory of the Russian Federation.
This was stated by Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the presidential administration, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Zelenskyy's victory plan — details
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Victory plan is a detailed strategy outlining the military, economic, political, and diplomatic steps needed to force Russia to end the war.
Mykhailo Podolyak clarified that this strategy includes a request for more long-range ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles.
Podolyak noted that the plan also includes an authorization to use these missiles to strike military targets deep inside Russia.
According to the advisor to the head of the presidential administration, this could change Putin's calculations, increase domestic pressure and weaken Russia's advanced forces.
Earlier, the Presidential Administration announced the presentation of the Victory Plan to Ukrainian people. Mykhailo Podolyak said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would make a presentation in the coming days. The presentation will focus on the details of the coercive program and its significance.
"As for a broader presentation for Ukraine, I think it is a matter of days. Why? Because it is important to understand the stage of the war and what we are doing. I think that the President will make this presentation quite effectively," said the representative of the Presidential Administration.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to present the Ukrainian Victory Plan. Zelenskyy said that he would like to end the war by 2025 at the latest. He stressed that the Victory Plan is a bridge to the peace summit, which will "put an end to the war".
