In the German city of Magdeburg, a car drove into a crowd of people at a Christmas market. The incident resulted in deaths and injuries.

This was reported by Bild on Friday, December 20.

Terrorist attack in Germany

According to preliminary information, this was a terrorist attack. Eyewitnesses say that the car drove directly into a crowd of people who were heading to the town hall.

It is currently known that 11 people were killed and 60 others were injured. The driver of the car has already been detained.

Law enforcement officers at the scene search the Christmas market for explosives.

A photo of the suspected terrorist is also being shared online. According to preliminary information, he was a Syrian.

Earlier, in Brazil, a man blew himself up with a bomb near the Supreme Court. At first, he tried to enter the building.
