Rutte announces military aid package for Ukraine — how much is it?

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO plans to provide Ukraine with 40 billion euros in military aid over the next year. The partners are doing everything to make it easier for our country to survive the winter.

This is what Mark Rutte said at the final press conference of the meeting of defense ministers, a Novyny.LIVE correspondent reports.

NATO's assistance to Ukraine

During his speech, Rutte emphasized that support for Ukraine is key to the security of the whole of Europe, so NATO will provide Kyiv with €40 billion in military assistance through 2025.

According to him, the partners are doing everything possible to ease the winter period for Ukrainians and provide the necessary support forces and equipment.

Military aid to Ukraine — what you need to know

As a reminder, it has recently become known that Canada is providing Ukraine with a new military aid package, which is part of a CAD 500 million financing. It will include small arms, ammunition, and protective equipment. 

In addition, Kyiv will receive new Colibri kamikaze drones from France. The drones have successfully passed all tests and will be delivered to Ukraine in a few weeks. 

Also on October 13, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with foreign colleagues from France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany. As a result of this meeting, Ukraine will receive more weapons
