In March 2022, the Russian Federation handed over its draft peace treaty to Ukraine. In particular, it included a reduction in the size of the Armed Forces and for our state to cover the costs of rebuilding the Donbas infrastructure.

The text of the treaty was published by Radio Liberty on Monday, November 4.

In particular, the treaty included the following points:

•    Reduction of the size of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to 50 thousand soldiers, including 55 helicopters and 300 tanks.
•    A ban on the production, acquisition and deployment on the Ukrainian territory of missiles with a range of more than 250 km.
•    Russia's right to veto any new weapons that may be developed in Ukraine.
•    Recognition by Ukraine of the so-called "LPR" and "DPR" within the administrative regions.
•    Ukraine's obligation to cover the costs of restoring the infrastructure of Donbas, damaged since 2014.
•    Cancellation of all sanctions imposed by Ukraine and its partners, and withdrawal of international lawsuits filed since 2014.

In addition, the Russian Federation did not forget about the status of the Russian language on the territory of our state — it had to become the second state language. Moreover, the legalization of Soviet and communist symbols should take place under the pretext of victory over Nazism.

A document entitled "Agreement on the Settlement of the Situation in Ukraine and the Neutrality of Ukraine" was allegedly handed over to the Ukrainian delegation on March 7, 2022.

Previously, the Office of the President reacted to the publication of the Financial Times about "negotiations" regarding strikes on the energy sector. It is reported that Russia is unlikely to abandon the strategy of missile attacks on critical infrastructure.

As a reminder, according to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, the war in Ukraine should end with negotiations between the parties of the conflict. The US will continue to support Ukraine until Kyiv determines the time when it will be possible to sit down at the negotiating table.
