In his first week in office, US President-elect Donald Trump plans to bring Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table. His inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2025.

This was reported by the Associated Press.

Trump's plans for the first week in the White House

The publication notes that in the very first days of his official work in the White House, Trump plans to bring Russia and Ukraine to the negotiating table. The journalists recalled that during his election campaign, he had repeatedly stated that he could stop the war in Ukraine in one day.

Trump's spokeswoman, after he was declared the winner of the election on November 6, said that he would now be able to "negotiate a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine".

"On day one, that includes bringing Ukraine and Russia to the table to end this war," she said.

In addition, Donald Trump said that on his first day in the White House, he would have to do a lot and had a whole to-do list. It includes, in particular, the following:

  • Initiation of mass deportations of migrants;
  • Reversal of Biden administration’s education policies;
  • Reorganization of the federal government by dismissing thousands of federal; employees who, in Trump’s view, secretly work against him;
  • Pardons for individuals arrested for their roles in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Trump's "peace plan" to end the war in Ukraine

The Telegraph recently reported that new US President Donald Trump has a plan to end the war in Ukraine. It may include the deployment of UK troops along the demarcation line.

At the same time, Ukrainian presidential advisor Dmytro Lytvyn said that after Trump's victory, the Western press and television "exploded" with secret leaks about his plans, but one should not believe everything the media write.

And the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Kovalenko, emphasized that before Trump's inauguration, no "peaceful scenario" published in the media will have any basis. These are just theories.
