The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy once again assured that the country does not intend to develop nuclear weapons. He noted that Ukraine has no alternatives other than NATO.

The Head of State claimed this at a briefing with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, answering a journalist's question, as the Novyny.LIVE reports.

Zelenskyy about the development of nuclear weapons

Zelenskyy explained that he was talking about nuclear weapons in the context of the Budapest Memorandum. After all, Ukraine did not receive the promised guarantees of security, territorial integrity and sovereignty.

"This means that this is not good protection for us, it is really not a real umbrella. And therefore we have no alternative except NATO. This is our signal. But we are not building nuclear weapons," the President explained.

Previously, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that France would transfer fighter jets to our country.

It should be reminded that Zelenskyy presented the Victory Plan of Ukraine at a special meeting of the European Council in Brussels.
