On Friday, November 29, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with French leader Emmanuel Macron. The interlocutors discussed strengthening air defense and the transfer of Mirage aircraft.

The Head of State reported on the results of the conversation via Telegram.

Zelenskyy spoke with Macron

During the conversation, Zelenskyy thanked Macron for his readiness to strengthen Ukraine's air defense, provide comprehensive defense assistance, and accelerate the transfer of Mirage aircraft.

"I highly appreciate that France understands the challenges we face. We discussed in detail how to strengthen air defense and protect the lives of our people," the message says.

The Head of State also emphasized the importance of Ukraine's invitation to NATO, expanding the long-range capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and continuing the training of Ukrainian brigades.

Separately, the issue of creating training missions both in NATO member states and directly on the territory of Ukraine at the initiative of France was raised.

As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with President of France Emmanuel Macron. The Head of State presented him with a detailed Ukrainian Victory Plan.
