Zelenskyy explained where Russia gets money for the war
Russia continues to finance the war with oil revenues and circumvent international sanctions by purchasing components for weapons around the world. European countries must unite to counter the aggressor state.
This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy via Telegram on Thursday, November 7.
Where does Russia get money for the war
Zelenskyy claimed that Russia still receives enough profit from oil sales to continue the war against Ukraine. The President added that the aggressor state avoids sanctions and buys components for drones and missiles around the world.
"Russia still has the ability to sow instability and interfere in the lives of nations in regions such as the Sahel, North Africa, the Middle East, and countries such as Yemen," the Head of State noted.
He emphasized that all of Europe needs leverage over the Russian leader and asked international partners to unite for protecting common interests.
"Together we can not only stop Russia's war against Ukraine, but also respond to other challenges. This is possible for us — for Europe, and not for one individual leader. I ask you to unite for protecting the common interests of our nations," Zelenskyy emphasized.
It should be recalled that on November 7, Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest, Hungary.
The President emphasized that Ukraine needs a sufficient number of weapons, not support in negotiations.
The Head of State also explained how to push the Russian Federation towards a fair peace.
