Zelenskyy discussed the needs of Ukraine in preparation for winter with the UN Secretary General

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres. He also spoke with the chairman of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister of Cameroon (2009-2019) Philemon Yang.

According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine hopes that the UN will respond to the needs of Ukrainians in the humanitarian field, in particular during preparations for winter.
"Among the topics discussed by the President and the UN Secretary General are the implementation of the Peace Formula, the security situation in the country and the freedom of navigation in the Black Sea. This is important for the continued functioning of transport corridors and the unhindered export of Ukrainian agricultural products to global markets," stated in the message.
What did Zelenskyy discuss with Yang
The Head of State emphasized that Ukraine is ready to cooperate effectively in order to implement the priorities of the chairman of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

"It is important for Ukraine that during the 79th session of the General Assembly, under your chairmanship, an annual debate is held within the Ukrainian matter "Situation in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine", as well as that our annual resolution on the situation with human rights in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is adopted," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He urged Young to support the Peace Formula and invited him to visit Ukraine.
It should be recalled that Zelenskyy met with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The parties discussed the implementation of the bilateral agreement on security and preparations for the second Peace Summit.
In addition, on September 25, Zelenskyy met with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. They discussed the war and enhancing support for Ukraine.
