Can it be a terrorist act?

Police Commissioner General Arunas Paulauskas said that the version of a terrorist attack cannot be ruled out.

"Probably, it can never be ruled out. This is one of the versions to be studied and tested. There is a lot of work ahead. I think it could take a whole week to inspect the scene, to collect evidence, to collect items. These answers will not come soon," he said.

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing Western intelligence, that two mysterious explosions occurred in July at the logistics centers of the DHL delivery service in Leipzig and Birmingham.

The investigation revealed that the incendiary devices were part of a covert operation conducted by Russian intelligence.

The plan was to blow up not only logistics centers, but also passenger and transport aircraft carrying dangerous parcels. The investigation found out that the bombs looked like electric massagers with a flammable substance instead of an electronic filling.
