Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andriy Kovalenko said that Poland is helping Ukraine and thereby saving itself from war. Therefore, statements about the "short memory of Ukrainians" are very surprising.

Andriy Kovalenko wrote about this via his Telegram, commenting on the statement of the Polish Minister of Defense about the "ingratitude of Ukrainians".

What did Kovalenko say

Kovalenko claimed that Poland is not just helping Ukraine, but is saving itself from war on several fronts with its help. He advises those in the neighboring country who think differently to open a map and see what awaits them if they do not help Ukraine.

In addition, he called on Poland to think about how much defense against Russia will cost them, and also to pay attention to Lavrov's statements about the desired borders of NATO, which do not include Poland.

"That's why comments about "getting Poland involved into the war" always surprise me. Poland has been saving itself from war for two years with the help of Ukraine. And you can also listen to Lavrov again about the desired borders of NATO without Poland," the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

What preceded

As a reminder, recently, the Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, claimed that "Ukrainians have a short memory", because they forgot about the assistance that the country provided at the beginning of the war. In particular, he accused the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, of this.

"There was a hint in Zelenskyy's words that Poland is not doing everything it can. However, Ukrainians have a short memory, because Poland transferred military hardware and provided humanitarian aid during the first months of the full-scale Russian invasion," Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized.

It should be recalled, that at the end of October, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine wanted to receive MiG aircraft from Poland, but they refused.

Shortly after, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski responded to this statement. He stated that his country had done more for Ukraine than other states.
