A neighborhood with Hollywood stars caught fire in California

In the US state of California, a fire breaks out in Pacific Palisades, home to lots of celebrities. Residents are being evacuated as the fire spreads.

Fire in Pacific Palisades

California Governor Gavin Newsom said that due to stronger winds, the Pacific Palisades fire destroyed many homes. As a result, dozens of thousands of people were forced to evacuate. The roads were overcrowded, so some people left their cars and fled on foot, carrying suitcases in their hands.

The abandoned cars prevented the ambulance from passing, so the services used a bulldozer to move the cars and create a passage.

Officials did not name the exact number of buildings damaged or destroyed by the fire, but they said that about 30,000 residents had to evacuate, and the fire could destroy more than 13,000 buildings.

According to the National Weather Service, this fire could be the worst in Southern California in the last ten years.

As a reminder, a plane crash took place in California, killing two people and injuring 19 others. A small single-engine plane crashed into the roof of a furniture factory.

Also, at Los Angeles International Airport, a charter plane nearly collided with a Delta airliner. The catastrophe was avoided thanks to the prompt response of the air traffic control.
