U.S. President Donald Trump said that the losses of Ukraine and Russia in the war, according to his data, have already reached more than half a million people. In addition, the U.S. president-elect accused Joe Biden's administration of concealing data on the actual number of deaths.

Donald Trump said this during a conversation with journalists, Voice of America reports .

How many soldiers did Russia and Ukraine lose during the fighting?

Trump said that Ukraine's casualties reach 600-700 thousand people, while Russia, according to his estimates, has already lost about 800 thousand soldiers. Trump made his statement while speaking with journalists.

"Russia has already lost 800 thousand soldiers, and Ukraine has lost 600-700 thousand. And I think these are not even all the numbers, but actually much more. A huge number of soldiers are dying. And this war has to stop," the U.S. president said.

He noted that there is no accurate data on casualties, but emphasized that "many more people died in the war" than officially reported. According to him, the losses at the front are especially high, particularly among young soldiers.

"There are many more people dying in Ukraine than you actually report, and I don't blame you. Maybe I blame your leadership, which does not want to publish the real numbers. Today you know how many buildings have been destroyed. If a whole building is destroyed and they say 2 people died. No, thousands of people are dying there," said Donald Trump.

It has also been reported that North Korean troops are suffering heavy losses in battles against the Ukrainian army and that the DPRK authorities are planning to send more troops.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration sent a number of officials who had previously dealt with the war in Ukraine "for inspection".

And Donald Trump himself threatened Putin for the second time with sanctions and severe economic restrictions if he won't agree to a truce.
