A preventive measure was chosen for the suspect in the terrorist attack in Dnipro near the building of the territorial procurement center. The man will be kept in custody.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine on Monday, December 16.

What the defendant says

The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine noted that the 37-year-old suspect was given a preventive measure in the form of detention without bail for a period of 60 days.

"The detainee was informed the day before in Dnipro about his suspicion of committing a terrorist act that led to the death of a person," the report says.

The defendant stated in court that he was allegedly framed. He said that he did not know about the explosives, and the "curator" from social networks gave the task only to pour paint at the person who allegedly took bribes. A special bag was "prepared" for the man, which he was asked to put under the bench. The defendant also assures that he does not work for the Russian special services.

"I am involved, but it is not my fault. I was used, deceived. There should not have been any explosives there. I had no intention of killing," the suspect said in court.

Let us recall that on December 14, a powerful explosion was heard in Dnipro. Later, it became known about a terrorist attack, as a result of which there were victims and a dead person. The moment of the detonation of the explosive was published on the network.
