Trump's special envoy postpones visit to Ukraine — Reuters
US President-elect Donald Trump 's special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, has postponed his trip to Kyiv and other European capitals. It will take place after the inauguration of the White House.
This was reported by Reuters.
Kellogg's visit to Ukraine
Trump chose Kellogg to serve as special representative for Ukraine and Russia. He had originally planned to visit Kyiv in early January to meet with Ukrainian leaders, and his team was preparing meetings with officials in other European capitals, including Rome and Paris.
But the trip was postponed until the new White House leader takes office, although the date of the visit has not yet been set. It is not yet known why the visit to Ukraine was postponed.
According to the newspaper, despite this, an attempt to quickly end the war remains a key priority for his new administration. At the same time, neither Kellogg nor a representative of the Ukrainian embassy in Washington responded to Reuters' request for comment.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he would like to attend the inauguration of Donald Trump. However, he noted that he would only attend if he was invited.
At the same time, he believes that it is possible to end the war in Ukraine with Trump's help.
