Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz said that Ukraine will receive some of the promised weapons by the end of the year. In addition, he appealed to partners to help Ukraine more, comparing it to an investment in the future.

This was reported by a correspondent of Novyny.LIVE Halyna Ostapovets, who works at the 7th German-Ukrainian Business Forum.

Scholz called for investing more in Ukraine

Olaf Scholz said that partners need to invest more in Ukraine, "because you are investing in a future member of the European Union".

In addition, the Chancellor of Germany noted that Ukraine has enormous potential in many areas and singled out the agricultural sector. He added that he visited Ukraine last week and saw with his own eyes the consequences of Russian attacks and large-scale destruction. He repeated the already famous thesis "nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine", and emphasized the need to establish a fair and comprehensive peace.

Olaf Scholz also stated that Ukraine would receive some weapons by the end of the year. In particular, Germany has already transferred five IRIS-T installations, and the last, sixth, will arrive by the end of the year. In addition, a Patriot launcher and several dozen units of "Gepard" will arrive in Ukraine by the end of 2024.

It should be recalled that Olaf Scholz recently made a harsh statement regarding Ukrainian refugees in Germany.

The German Chancellor also announced what kind of assistance Ukraine would receive.
