Scholz announces €650 million aid package for Ukraine
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz made an unannounced visit to Kyiv on Monday, December 2, where he plans to unveil a new military aid package during talks with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Scholz noted that Germany will remain the strongest supporter of Ukraine in Europe.
"At the meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, I will announce further deliveries of defense equipment worth 650 million euros," he wrote.
According to the German chancellor, Ukraine will receive this military aid by the end of 2024.
Earlier, Tagesschau wrote that Scholz wanted to express solidarity with Ukraine with his visit.
