Russian occupiers shot four Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Donetsk region. Pre-trial investigation has been started.

Russians shot four more Ukrainian prisoners of war in the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region. Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched.

It is noted that on November 22, Russian soldiers attacked an AFU position located near the village of Petrivka.
"Four soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were forcibly surrendered to captivity during the enemy assault. The occupiers opened fire on them with automatic weapons immediately after that," the report says.
The Prosecutor General's Office emphasized that the intentional killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and qualifies as a grave international crime.
Investigative actions are currently underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and the involved people.
It should be reminded that Russian invaders executed five captured Ukrainian defenders out of six near the settlement of Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia region, on November 24, 2024.
Lubinets stated about the violation of the Geneva Conventions, the laws and customs of war. The Commissioner for Human Rights also sent letters to the UN and the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding the relevant crime.
