Russia has resorted to threatening NATO — the Russian dictator's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, has made the statement. The reason is Poland's intention to shoot down Russian missiles.

This was reported by the Russian media on Wednesday, November 13.

Kremlin's threats to Poland — what is the reason?

The Russian leadership has warned NATO member states of "parity" in their response. The reason was the opening of a new US missile defense base in Poland. The Kremlin has warned NATO countries of "parity of response" because Poland will be able to shoot down Russian missiles.

The Russian dictator's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said that the deployment of the US missile defense system in Poland could be interpreted as "an expansion of the US military infrastructure aimed at limiting the Kremlin's strategic potential".

"The deployment of a missile defense system in Poland is an advancement of the US military infrastructure to Russia, an attempt to contain its potential. The deployment of a missile defense system in Poland leads to Russia's taking appropriate measures to ensure parity," Peskov commented.

Putin's spokesman emphasized that Russia will take measures to ensure "balance and strategic equality" in response to such actions.
