Trump's envoy criticizes Biden for his attitude toward Putin
U.S. Presidential Envoy for Special Missions Richard Grenell sharply criticized Joe Biden for his policy toward Vladimir Putin and his approach to Ukraine before Russia's full-scale invasion. He said that Joe Biden made a big mistake by not talking to Vladimir Putin for three and a half years.
Richard Grenell spoke about this at the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos, a Novyny.LIVE correspondent reports.
Grenell criticizes Biden for "silent" policy toward Putin
Richard Grenell said that Joe Biden has not spoken to Vladimir Putin in 3.5 years. Instead, the US budget has spent "hundreds of billions of dollars".
"In recent years there has been a lot of talk about the need for more military spending and more war. Let me give you an example. Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden have not spoken in over 3.5 years. We think that is outrageous. The American people think that's outrageous. You have to be able to talk to people. Talking is a tactic. And you can't solve problems peacefully if you don't talk. And that's why I think there's a great frustration among Americans that we're spending hundreds of billions of dollars and our leaders are not talking to each other to try to solve problems," President Donald Trump's administration envoy said.
Richard Grenell also criticized Ukraine's international partners, especially European foreign ministers, who allegedly did not try to stop the war even though Joe Biden had intelligence about Russia's intentions to invade Ukraine.
"Joe Biden has been telling the world for months that the Americans have intelligence evidence that the war is about to begin. And we think it is quite shocking that so many foreign ministers in Europe, so many American politicians did not try to stop the war at that time," Richard Grenell added.
At a meeting in Davos, Polish President Andrzej Duda said that he wanted Putin to start begging for an end to the war himself and expressed his vision of how to achieve this.
Also, U.S. Senator Joni Ernst explained why Trump has more opportunities to end the war in Ukraine than Biden.
