Half of Ukraine lost power — updated schedules by Ukrenergo
On Friday, December 13, three stages of the schedule of hourly power outages were applied simultaneously in all regions of Ukraine. The reason for this was a massive Russian attack this the morning.
This was reported by Ukrenergo.
How the outage schedules work
Power engineers note that as a result of a massive missile and drone attack, power facilities in several regions were damaged. Specialists are carrying out emergency repair work.
"The scope of restrictive measures has been increased today. For the current schedule of outages in your region, please visit the website and official pages of the regional power company in social networks," the statement said.
Ukrenergo added that the Ukrainian power system continues to recover after twelve massive Russian attacks since the beginning of this year, and there is a significant power shortage.
"Currently, three stages of the hourly blackout schedule are being applied simultaneously in all regions," the energy company said.
As a reminder, on December 13, Russia launched a massive missile attack on power facilities in Ukraine. As a result, DTEK was forced to change the power outage schedules for Kyiv and four other regions.
In the Ternopil region, 50% of consumers were left without electricity due to the need to introduce additional changes to the blackout schedules after the Russian attack.
