Ukraine has established contacts with the new administration of U.S. President Donald Trump. The two leaders are in the process of scheduling a meeting.

This was announced by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak in a comment to Novyny.LIVE correspondent Halyna Ostapovets on Wednesday, January 22.

Yermak announces meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump

According to the head of the Office of the President, the date of the possible visit of the Trump administration's representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, to Kyiv is currently unknown. However, the diplomat suggested that the Ukrainian delegation may travel to the United States before.

"The most importamt is not the place, but that  meetings take place as soon as possible. The main goal is to have a meeting between the two presidents," Yermak said.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump is being prepared. At the same time, the president emphasized that negotiations between representatives of the countries will be held first.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga also announced the upcoming meeting. He added that they are currently establishing contacts with Donald Trump's team that came to power in the United States.
