Attack on TPP — strengthening of Ukrainian energy system
Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko claimed that Ukraine plans to build wind power plants with a capacity of about 800 megawatts. This was the result of regular shelling by the Russians.
Herman Halushchenko reported this during the ReBuild Ukraine conference in Warsaw, as a correspondent of Novyny.LIVE reports.
The building of wind power plants in Ukraine
Halushchenko emphasized that the occupiers' attacks of TPPs are pushing Ukraine to move much faster towards the goals of the green transition. Therefore, the construction of powerful wind power plants is planned.
"We have experience of launching wind power plants during the war, which are already operating, not far from the front line, so in fact this shows that the potential of this type of generation is really huge for Ukraine... We are not waiting for the end of the war, so we are implementing these projects right now," the minister added.
It should be reminded, that at the same conference, the Lithuanian Minister of Energy Dainius Kreivys stated that his country is giving Ukraine an entire power plant.
It should be added, that earlier the director of the Energy Industry Research Center Oleksandr Kharchenko named two scenarios under which power outages are possible during winter time.
