On Wednesday, November 27, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. They discussed yesterday's emergency meeting of the Alliance.

Yesterday, the NATO-Ukraine Council met because of Russia's use of a new ballistic missile on Dnipro on November 21.
"We discussed with Mark the available response capabilities and the necessary strengthening of Ukraine's air defense. I named specific air defense systems that are needed and that can work. Our partners have these air defense systems," the President noted.
He emphasized an important point: the decisions of the NATO summit in Washington on air defense and supplies for the front have not yet been fully implemented. Ukraine expects this to happen, and it has a significant impact on the motivation and morale of citizens.
According to Zelenskyy, the recent authorization of long-range strikes on military targets in Russia has helped, but the pressure needs to be maintained and increased.
In addition, he and Rutte discussed contacts with partners and joint work with them to implement the agreements and additional references. In particular, for the sake of inviting Ukraine to NATO.
It should be noted that during yesterday's emergency meeting, NATO members reaffirmed their unwavering support for Ukraine in the face of a new threat - Russia's use of an intercontinental missile.
In addition, NATO called for the provision of medium-range missiles from 1,000 to 5,500 kilometers to Ukraine, adopting a resolution that provides for the possibility of such a transfer.
