Zelenskyy's meeting with the military leadership
"Our military tasks and steps for the near future and everything that is needed for the effectiveness of the actions of our soldiers on the front line are weapons, military hardware, support, staffing of brigades," the Head of State said.
Zelenskyy said that there was a detailed report of Syrskyi about the situation on all fronts and repelling attacks of Russian occupiers. The Kursk operation was discussed separately.
"Instead of a buffer zone on the territory of Ukraine, which the Russians planned, we have created a buffer zone near our border on Russian territory. I am grateful to all our soldiers for their courage. And special emphasis is on replenishing the exchange fund for Ukraine for the sake of freeing our people from Russian captivity. Thanks to the Kursk operation, we managed to free a significant number of our people," Zelenskyy emphasized.
The Head of State added that following the meeting, tasks for relevant negotiations with partners on defense support for Ukraine were updated.
As a reminder, Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine managed to free almost four thousand of its citizens from Russian captivity.
Previously, Zelenskyy named the number of targets that the Russian occupiers fired at Ukraine in a week.
