The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz. This is already his third meeting with the German leader during the autumn and, perhaps, one of the key ones.

Zelenskyy announced this on Friday, October 11.

"Today is our third meeting with the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz this autumn and probably one of the most important during the entire period of the full-scale war," Zelenskyy said.

The President added that Ukraine is currently presenting its strategy for bringing peace to key allies. The head of state explained that this is a plan of absolutely clear and realistic steps that make it possible to push the whole situation towards real peace.

"Restoring a fair peace for Ukraine is a victory for us, and this is what we are working for. And we can do it in cooperation with all our partners. We count on the support of Germany," the President emphasized.

The President also thanked Germany for its very important defense and economic support.

"Our political interaction, support for the Peace Formula and working together with us for the sake of the effectiveness of the peace summits. It is very important for us that the aid does not decrease next year, so that the amount of aid is sufficient to protect people and life," the President summarized.

It should be recalled that at the beginning of October, Germany transferred additional IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine. This aid was co-financed by Norway at the German initiative.

And in September, Germany allocated an additional 400 million euros for the supply of weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Another 170 million euros will be directed to the restoration of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
