Enemy drones have received new functionality — what is the danger
Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, which Russia uses to shell Ukraine, are now able to adjust their course via 3G/LTE modems. The Russian invaders have improved satellite navigation in new drone models.
This was reported by the Telegram channel "Colonel of the General Staff" on Friday, November 15.
New equipment for Russian drones
It is reported that recent studies have shown that the drones are equipped with RTK (Real Time Kinematic) technology, which allows determining the location with an accuracy of millimeters via the Internet in real time. At the same time, the drone operator can be located directly in Russia.
The RTK coverage map in Ukraine can be found in the public domain. It is worth noting that there are at least ten such zones near Kyiv.
"EW and spoofing do not work in this case. A system solution is needed for or after disconnecting mobile network subscribers," the message says.
Previously, we reported that the Russian troops began using Shahed-136 drones with thermobaric warheads.
Let us recall that since now, Shahed-136 drones reach higher altitude and have higher speed.
