Speaker of the Latvian Saeima Daiga Mierina arrived in Ukraine on Tuesday, January 14. She was received at the Kyiv railway station by the Vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk.

Kondratiuk noted that this is an important visit for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation and evidence of support for Ukrainian-Latvian relations.
"The Latvian delegation is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian authorities and representatives of training and rehabilitation centers for the military," she added.
As a reminder, Joe Biden recalled his visit to Kyiv on February 20, 2023, by posting a video and sharing his impressions.
Also on January 13, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with French leader Emmanuel Macron to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine.
