The famous Ukrainian journalist Viktoria Roshchyna died in Russian captivity. At this time, the circumstances of her death remain unknown.

The death of a journalist

"Indeed, we conducted an internal investigation and, unfortunately, the information was confirmed. We knew Victoria, this is extremely sad news for us, and for Ukrainian journalism as well. It is too early to talk about the circumstances of her death, work is underway to establish them. About these circumstances we will find out, and the guilty will be punished, because such crimes do not have a statute of limitations," Yatsenko said.

It is known that Victoria Roshchyna was being prepared for exchange. She died during the transfer from Taganrog to Moscow.

"The fact that she was being transferred from Taganrog to Moscow was a stage of her preparation for release," the representative of the Coordination Headquarters added.

Previously, Yuriy Yurchyshyn wrote about the death of the journalist, but later he deleted the post, waiting for confirmation of the information.

"According to official information from the Russian authorities, this happened during the staging process from Taganrog to Moscow. I just spoke with her father. In addition to expressing my condolences, I promised that we will do everything possible to ensure that the murderers of his daughter receive the well-deserved punishment," Yurchyshyn wrote.
