NATO comments on Ukraine's Victory Plan — what Rutte says
NATO has reviewed and taken into account the Victory Plan developed by Ukraine, but many details of this initiative need to be discussed. The Alliance maintains close ties with Kyiv for this purpose.
This was announced by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, the Associated Press reports.
What NATO says about Ukraine's Victory Plan
Rutte emphasized that the Ukrainian Victory Plan contains many aspects, including political and military issues. According to him, they need to be discussed with the Ukrainian side to understand what can be implemented.
At the same time, the Secretary General emphasized that he maintains close ties with Kyiv and its allies to "assess possible steps to assist Ukraine".
At the same time, Rutte refused to disclose the details of future discussions with Ukraine. He emphasized that the main task now is to help Ukraine retake its territories and strengthen its position before the upcoming peace talks.
As a reminder, on October 16, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the Victory Plan in the Verkhovna Rada. The entire military and political leadership of Ukraine came to hear the plan, including Syrskyi, Budanov and Maliuk.
During his speech, the head of state also named the timeline for ending the war. However, according to him, this is only possible if Ukraine's partners support the Victory Plan.
