The General Director of the Gas Transmission System of Ukraine operator Dmytro Lyppa said that it is important for our state to stop the Russian gas flow through our territory. The implementation of these intentions will be planned for 2025.
Lyppa announced this during the Energy Security Dialogue 2024 conference, as Novyny.LIVE reports.

Ukraine is preparing to stop the transit of Russian gas through its territory. This will become a reality next year.
Lyppa added that the measures that the Russian operator "Gazprom" plans to introduce indicate that Russia is preparing for such scenario.
"Their actions indicate that this will become a reality," Lyppa noted.
Let us recall that Ukraine will have enough of its own gas reserves for the winter, as Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said. No fuel imports are planned for the heating season.
Previously, the Austrian company OMV confiscated Russian gas of 230 million euros worth. This was done to cover the cost of an arbitration award.
