China could have encouraged Russia to end its war against Ukraine. Instead, on the contrary, it supports this conflict by helping the occupiers with equipment.

According to a Novyny.LIVE correspondent, this was stated by US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma during the ReBuild Ukraine conference on Wednesday, November 13.

How China is helping Russia

The representative of the State Department noted that China has recently increased its support for Russia. According to him, in 2023, Russia imported more than five billion dollars worth of dual-use goods. This is 40% more than in 2022.

What is the purpose of the ReBuild Ukraine conference?

ReBuild Ukraine is an offline platform for reconstruction projects, materials, and technologies needed to rebuild Ukraine's economy in the wake of the war. The event aims to attract investment in Ukrainian cities and regions that support IDPs and have attractive investment opportunities.

Earlier, the U.S. Deputy Secretary of State said that Ukraine's economy is developing even in the face of war. In particular, this year Ukraine exported about one hundred million tons of products. This is 36% more than in 2023.

Richard Verma also said that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the United States has already provided Ukraine with more than one hundred billion dollars in aid. The amount of emergency loans to Ukraine totals $20 billion.
