Russia fired a medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile at Ukraine. There is a real risk of a global conflict.

This was reported by Reuters on Friday, November 22.

The risk of global conflict

On Thursday, November 21, Russia fired a medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile at Dnipro. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said it was an Oreshnik hypersonic missile.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized the high probability of a global war in connection with the latest events.

"The war in the East is entering a decisive phase, and we feel that the unknown is approaching. The conflict is reaching dramatic proportions. The last few dozen hours have shown that the threat is serious and real when it comes to a global conflict," Tusk stated.

Poland is actively calling on NATO members to increase defense spending. It is noted that Warsaw allocates 4.7% of its gross domestic product to strengthen its armed forces in 2025.

As a reminder, EU spokesman Peter Stano said that Russia's use of an intercontinental missile to attack Ukraine is another escalation by the Kremlin. This shows that Putin has no intention of negotiating peace.

Earlier, we wrote that the Russian invaders could launch a missile strike on the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The Kremlin leader may maximize the stakes in the war against Ukraine.
