US President-elect Donald Trump has appointed a special envoy for Ukraine. It will be retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg.

The publication writes that Keith Kellogg was the Chief of Staff of the White House National Security Council during the Trump presidency in 2017-2021. He is also a co-author of the "peace plan" for Ukraine, which provides for freezing the front line and forcing the parties to negotiate.
In his opinion, the United States should promise Ukraine more weapons only if it enters into peace talks.
At the same time, Russia should be warned that if it refuses to negotiate, it will lead to an increase in American support. And Ukraine's membership in NATO should be removed from the agenda for the near future.
It should be noted that in January 2023, Kellogg visited Ukraine, including Kharkiv.
Earlier, Trump considered former intelligence chief Richard Grenell for the position of special representative for the war between Russia and Ukraine .
Trump's national security adviser, Michael Waltz, said that the team was working closely with Joe Biden's administration on the war in Ukraine.
