The MFA responded sharply to Russian statements about Zelensky

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, has responded to Russian statements against the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. It should be noted that the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called Zelensky a "loser".

Tykhyi wrote about it on his page on the social network X on Thursday, May 15.

It is worth noting that upon arrival in Turkey, President Zelensky said that he had no official information on the composition of the Russian delegation. He added, however, that it appeared to be formal and "theatrical".

The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry then called the Ukrainian leader a "clown and a loser," and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called him a "pathetic person".

For his part, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Heorhii Tykhyi, responded to the personal attacks of the Russians against the President of Ukraine.

"Instead of Putin coming to meet with President Zelensky in Türkiye and have a serious conversation about ending the war and restoring peace, what we hear from Russia are personal insults of the Ukrainian President," the representative of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission noted.

He also added that it is not the first time "the Russian foreign ministry becomes a laughing stock".

"It is also worth noting that the delegation in Türkiye is not led by the Russian foreign ministry—their role is to bark from Moscow," Tykhyi emphasized.

As a reminder, Zelensky's meeting with Erdoğan began in Ankara.
