The world must respond to Russian escalation — Zelenskyy
The Security Service of Ukraine showed what the wreckage of the intercontinental missile fired by Russians at Dnipro looks like. Ukraine, together with its partners, is working to establish all the characteristics of this missile. The world must respond to this.
This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy via Telegram on Sunday, November 24.
There must be a response to an intercontinental missile strike on the Dnipro
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine and its partners are currently examining the wreckage of the missile that attacked Dnipro. All the characteristics of this weapon are being established.
"In order to find a response to this Russian escalation step together," the President of Ukraine said.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the world has air defense systems that can protect against such weapons. He believes that we need to focus on this now. Volodymyr Zelenskyy added that everything should be done to make Russia look for the possibility of peace. According to him, this can be achieved by two things — helping Ukraine and putting pressure on Russia.
"Russia should feel that every step it takes to expand the war has consequences for it. The consequences are in our actions at the front, our soldiers, our units. And there are also consequences in the actions of the world. In the way the world responds. We must not give Putin a single week to adapt and find a countermeasure," the president said.
As a reminder, the Institute for the Study of War suggested that the innovativeness of the Oreshnik missile is somewhat exaggerated. Pentagon officials claim that it is a medium-range missile based on the RS-26 Rubizh intercontinental missile.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has suggested that Russia may start mass production of the Oreshnik missile system. This could pose a serious threat to Ukraine.
