Sanctions for helping Russia

The list includes both individuals and networks located in the jurisdiction of 17 states. Among them are India, China, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey.

150 Russian companies operating in the fields of defense, technology, manufacturing and aerospace industries that purchase or manufacture finished military products or key components, precursors and equipment that enable Russia to create or maintain the weapons it uses in its aggressive war against Ukraine have been sanctioned.

The restrictive measures also targeted 14 entities and nine individuals that facilitated the procurement of advanced weapons, components, and ammunition on behalf of Russian end-users that are critical to supporting the Russian military campaign. This also applies to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

In particular, the sanctions targeted Mirex Havacilik ve Savunma Sanayi Ticaret Anonim Serketi и New Way Group Global Danismanlik Ticaret Limited Sirketi. They were used by the Russian Main Intelligence Directorate to facilitate the supply of microelectronics, as well as production and testing equipment of American origin.

In addition, the sanctions targeted the Russian Athree Company Limited, the Institute for Testing and Certification of Armaments and Military Equipment, the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences, the Research Institute of Communication, Command and Control System, the Moscow Aviation Institute, the Spektr Engineering Design Bureau, and other companies.

Previously, the European Union has imposed new sanctions on Iran. The reason was the supply of Iranian-made missiles to Russia.

As a reminder, Belarus, bypassing sanctions, supplied mineral fertilizers to Ukraine through Russia and Bulgaria.
