Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of the Armed Forces and thanked the military for their courage in the fight for independence. In his words, victory belongs to those who fight and never lay down their arms.
This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi via Telegram on Friday, December 6.
Congratulations on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Syrskyi congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of the Armed Forces, expressing his gratitude to the military for their courage and heroism in the fight for Ukraine's independence.
In his greeting, he emphasized that the modern Armed Forces of Ukraine have inherited the bravery and love of freedom from Ukrainian military formations of past centuries — including the army of the Ukrainian People's Republic, the Ukrainian Galician Army, the heroes of Kholodnyi Yar, and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army.
"Today we are fighting for independence again. The enemy is the same as a hundred years ago. Ukrainians are called to fight again, and we must win!" the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.
He emphasized that the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a modern Ukrainian army, which now has vast combat experience in full-scale combat operations with a superior enemy.
Syrskyi also thanked all the soldiers who are defending Ukraine on various fronts.
"The heroism and sacrifice of our comrades made for our Victory will forever remain in our hearts! Eternal glory and remembrance to them!" stated the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On December 6, Ukraine celebrates the Armed Forces Day, a holiday that has become a symbol of courage, self-sacrifice, and loyalty to the country.
