Russian invaders executed five Ukrainian defenders
Prosecutors opened a criminal investigation into the shooting of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russian invaders near Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia. In total, the enemy executed five Ukrainian defenders.

The prosecutor's office opened a criminal investigation into the violation of the laws and customs of war combined with premeditated murder.
According to preliminary data, on November 24, 2024, near the village of Novodarivka, Pologivskyi district, Zaporizhzhia region, where active hostilities are taking place, Russian invaders shot five Ukrainian defenders out of six who were taken prisoner.
"Law enforcement officers have identified a unit of the occupying army, whose servicemen are currently being checked for involvement in this crime. Investigators also received a video recording of the shooting," the prosecutor's office said.
The prosecutor's office reminded that the killing of prisoners of war is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and is classified as a serious international crime.

Russian troops shot at least two unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war at close range. It happened in the Kursk region.
