Russia simulated a massive nuclear strike in response to a missile attack. All models of land-based, sea-based and air-based missiles in service with the Russian Federation took part in the training.

Russia's strategic nuclear forces conducted test launches of ballistic missiles at a distance of thousands of kilometers. The full nuclear "triad" of Russian land-based, sea-based and air-based missiles took part in the training.
"Taking into account the growth of geopolitical tensions and the emergence of new external threats and risks, it is important to have modern and constantly ready strategic forces," Russian dictator Vladimir Putin said on the eve of the training.
The publication reports that the "Yars" intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome to Kamchatka. In its turn, the "Sinevaya" and "Bulava" ballistic missiles were launched from submarines, and cruise missiles — from strategic warplanes.
The new training took place just ten days after the previous ones, which practiced the movement of field complexes with "Yars" missiles. These missiles are capable of reaching the United States.
Reuters also reminds that the training took place at a critical moment in Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine. They were preceded by several weeks of Russian threats to Western allies that Moscow would respond if NATO countries and their partners allowed Ukraine to launch longer-range missiles deep into Russian territory.
In recent days, nuclear threats from Russia have become tougher and more frequent.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken also called Putin's new nuclear threats "irresponsible". According to him, the world must move towards greater disarmament.
