Russian dictator Vladimir Putin threatens to launch a new attack on Ukraine with an intercontinental ballistic missile Oreshnik. Kyiv could be a possible target.
This was reported by Reuters on Thursday, November 28.
Putin threatens to hit with Oreshnik again
"Of course, we will respond to the ongoing strikes on Russian territory with long-range missiles of Western production, as has already been discussed, including, perhaps, continuing the testing of the Oreshnik in combat conditions, as was done on November 21," Putin said at a meeting of the CSTO Security Council in Kazakhstan.
According to the dictator, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the aggressor state are currently selecting targets for strikes on the territory of Ukraine.
"These could be military facilities, defense and industrial enterprises, decision-making centers in Kyiv," he said.
Putin also added that, according to military and technical experts under his command, a strike with several such missiles at once would have the effect of a nuclear strike.
In addition, Putin said that Russia had begun mass production of the Oreshnik. According to him, the temperature of its striking elements reaches four thousand degrees, and everything in the epicenter of the explosion "essentially turns to dust".
The President of the aggressor state said that Oreshnik allegedly hits even highly protected and deeply located objects.
Earlier, we reported that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could start negotiations as early as early 2025. This is due to the fact that the Soviet-era weapons will run out by the end of this year.
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had set a goal to push the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the Kursk region of Russia by January 20, 2025, when Trump's inauguration is to take place.
