The article reports that wildfires have claimed the lives of at least ten people and destroyed nearly 10,000 buildings. As you know, five more large-scale fires broke out on Thursday when dry winds fanned the flames.

It should be noted that the fires in the Palisades neighborhood in the west of the city and in the Eaton neighborhood in the east, near Pasadena, are considered the most destructive in the history of Los Angeles. They have already destroyed more than 13 thousand acres and turned entire neighborhoods to ashes.

The fire has also knocked out power and water to the city. According to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, the city has mobilized all available water tanks, but the massive use of fire hydrants has reduced pressure in the system.

At the same time, Janice Quiñones, general manager of the Department of Water and Power, noted that the city's water supply system is not designed to simultaneously fight such large fires.

As a reminder, the fires engulfed the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Los Angeles. This is why Hollywood celebrities are evacuating.
