The EU will provide Ukraine with 1.5 billion euros per month
The European Union will provide Ukraine with a fixed amount of financial assistance every month. This is money from frozen Russian assets. The funds will begin to be paid from January 2025.
This was stated by the EU's chief diplomat, Kaja Kallas, after the first meeting of foreign ministers of the 27 EU member states.

As Kallas noted, the funds will come from income from frozen Russian assets. According to her, the money can be used for military purposes.
Ukraine will begin receiving funds from January 2025. It is planned to allocate 1.5 billion euros per month.
It should be recalled that Germany has allocated additional 70 million euros to Ukraine. These funds will be spent on the purchase of small thermal power plants, boiler houses and other power equipment.
The United States Department of the Treasury has decided to provide Ukraine with a $20 billion loan. The funds from frozen Russian assets will be used to do this. This is part of a G7 initiative that involves the allocation of $50 billion.
