There is currently no way to hold fair and democratic presidential elections in Ukraine. To organize elections for Ukrainian citizens who have left the country, great efforts and funds are needed.

This was stated by the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak.

When will Ukraine elect a new president?

Andrii Yermak noted that it is necessary to create conditions so that all citizens of Ukraine can vote in the elections. This includes the military, who are currently defending the country at the front, and people who have temporarily left the country.

"This is a very big job for embassies, for consulates. It really needs to be organized so that just one person can go and vote for the next president," said Yermak.

In addition, it requires a lot of money, and the country already attracts a lot of money for defense spending.

At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy named the conditions under which democratic and independent elections could be held in Ukraine.

"The President said that after a just peace, we will be ready to immediately move to independent democratic elections in our country," Yermak said.

As a reminder, the former deputy head of the CEC explained why holding elections in Ukraine is a very risky and dangerous step.
