What is happening in Georgia now
On the 14th day of protests, the situation in the country is not calming down, but rather the opposite. Georgians are afraid of the possibility that Russia, after losing Syria, may pay more active attention, including militarily, to Georgia.
There have been mass attacks on activists and beatings during two weeks of the rallies. The so-called "titushky" were brought to the protests. Instead, the authorities claim that the protesters attacked themselves to discredit them.
A correspondent of Novyny.LIVE is in Tbilisi now. According to her, people have gathered near the parliament with posters.
It should be recalled that in order to intimidate demonstrators in Georgia, young men with athletic appearance hired by the authorities are actively attacking them. Such people have been named "titushky" since the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine.
Participants in the protests of Georgia spoke about their expectations. Along with demands to resume the course for integration into the European Union, people on the streets are expressing their support for Ukraine.
