CEO of YASNO, Serhiy Kovalenko spoke about the situation after Russia’s Christmas attack on Ukraine’s power system. According to him, one of the power plant workers was killed due to the shelling.

Russian troops have again struck the country’s energy infrastructure, focusing on generation facilities.
Preventive power outages were introduced on the morning after the attack to maintain system stability.
Currently, planned outage schedules are in effect. The system operates in three shifts out of six possible.
Specific schedules for Kyiv, Dnipro, and the region are available on the YASNO website. Kyiv residents can install the YASNO app to receive notifications about power outages and restorations at their address.
As after previous attacks, the power system needs time to recover and stabilize. Changes in outage schedules are possible due to repair work.
As a reminder, Russian troops launched a combined large-scale strike on Ukraine on the night of December 25. The targets for the attacks were facilities in the fuel and energy sector. The occupiers used various types of missiles.
Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed more than 50 missiles and a significant number of drones. However, some strikes reached their targets, which caused power outages in several regions. Energy employees are working to restore power as soon as possible.
