Harris and Trump are on par two days before the US election
On Tuesday, November 5, the United States will hold its 60th presidential election. The final national poll by NBC News showed a tie between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
This was reported by the NBC News in its special report.
What are the results of the pre-election polls?
Taken together, the poll shows that Harris receives the support of 49% of registered voters, while Trump receives an identical 49%. Only 2% of voters say they are undecided.
The channel analyst emphasizes that support for Harris has increased in the segment: "which candidate takes better care of the middle class". Trump is supported by those who believe that "the country is going in the wrong direction".
Republicans, according to the channel's analyst, can expect a higher turnout among men, white voters and voters without higher education — here Trump is ahead of Harris by 2 points, 50% to 48%.
But small increases among women, college-educated whites and voters of color show Harris leading Trump by 3 points, 50% to 47%.
Harris maintains a significant advantage on abortion, leading Trump by 20 points on which candidate would do a better job on the issue.
Harris also leads Trump by 9 points, 51% to 42%, on which candidate is better for the middle class.
But Trump leads on which candidate is better at managing the economy (51% to 41%) and handling the cost of living (52% to 40%). He also maintains his 25-point lead on border security and immigration control.
In Pennsylvania, Harris and Trump are nearly tied. The Democrat's lead is only one percent.
The US Democratic Party also has a contingency plan in case Donald Trump declares early victory in the election.
