Today, November 5, the US will hold presidential elections. The results of this vote will have a significant impact on Ukraine, as it will determine whether our country will receive weapons or be forced to sit down at the negotiating table.

Harris' position on Ukraine
Even at the beginning of her campaign, Kamala Harris clearly expressed her support for Ukraine and condemned the invasion of Russia by dictator Vladimir Putin. During her speeches, she has always emphasized the importance of protecting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the need to ensure justice for the Ukrainian people.
In addition, she has repeatedly emphasized the importance of documenting Russia's war crimes and said that torturing people, killing war prisoners, and daily strikes on peaceful Ukrainian cities are simply unacceptable.
International unity in support of Ukraine and the continuation of sanctions against Russia is also important to her. In general, she clearly expressed her desire to see Putin defeated and promised to continue Biden's policy of military assistance to Kyiv.
"History has shown that when we fail to respond, when an aggressor is allowed to invade a neighboring country with impunity, it only emboldens them to push further. In Putin's case, this means that the entire continent of Europe will be at risk," she said.
At the same time, she shares Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's vision of ending the war.
What will happen if Trump becomes US president?
Another candidate for the US presidency is Donald Trump. He has repeatedly questioned the appropriateness of military aid for Ukraine, as he is convinced that "Europe should bear the brunt of the burden". However, he has always emphasized that when he becomes the new US president, he will be able to end the war in Ukraine in a matter of days, and he calls Zelenskyy "the best trader on Earth" because he leaves the US with tens of billions of dollars every time. Also, his opponent Harris accused Trump of "flirting with a dictator".
"You think you're friends with a dictator, but he would eat you for lunch," she said.
In addition, he has always criticized Joe Biden's policies and called on Ukraine to engage in "peaceful" negotiations with Russia. He also has his own "peace plan", where the United States should focus on diplomacy and problems in its own country, rather than intervening in wars that do not directly benefit America.
